Try our useful calculator to work out how much paint you'll need for the weekend's makeover. The answer is in litres but always
round up the calculation to be sure you have enough. Acrylic paint on previously painted surfaces covers roughly 16 square metres per litre.

Measure the circumference of the walls of your room to calculate the distance	(metres)

Guesstimate the areas not being painted like windows, doors and the fireplace	(sq m)

Triangle
To find the area of a triangle, multiply the base by half the height.
Example: 50 x 20 = 1000 square metres

Circle
To find the area of a circle, multiply the radius (half the diameter) by itself and then multiply the answer by 3.1416.
Example: 25 x 25 x 3.1416 = 1963.5 square metres

Corrugated roofing
Most roofing has 63.5mm wide corrugations To find the total surface area, multiply the width of the corrugated sheet by 1.25 or add 25%
Example: 760 x 1.25 or 760 + 25% = 950
